The Representative of the (AANES) participates in the ceremony commemorating the tenth anniversary of the death of Mrs Mitterrand.

At the invitation of the Endowment of Daniel Mitterrand (France Liberty), a delegation from the Representation of the AANES in France participated in the ceremony commemorating the tenth anniversary of the death of Mrs Danielle Mitterrand, wife of former French President Mr François Mitterrand. The ceremony was also attended by delegations and personalities from France and various countries around the world.
The AANES delegation was received by Mitterrand’s son, Mr Jullibert Mitterrand, who heads the Endowment of France Liberty.
The Representative of the AANES, Dr Khaled Issa, conveyed to Mr Mitterrand sincere feelings of gratitude and appreciation to Mrs Mitterrand and the great role she played in order for the Kurds to obtain their legitimate rights, which was mainly represented in informing public opinion and the French government of the just cause of the Kurdish people.
In turn, Mr Mitterrand expressed his thanks to the AANES, stressing that the Endowment headed by (France Liberty) will continue its efforts to develop relations between the AANES institutions, civil society institutions and French municipalities.
It is noteworthy that, at the initiative of the France Liberty Endowment, a delegation of representatives of several French municipalities visited the AANES areas with the aim of developing cooperation and relations between the two parties and discussing ways to provide support and improve services in the regions of north and east Syria.
